APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Consumption Rate
The consumption rate is highly influenced by the absorption and roughness of the substrate and by the application method used. Considering a homogeneous substrate, the consumption rate is approximately 0.15-0.25kg/m2. The primer can be diluted with 100-300% water by weight. The dilution rate depends on substrate conditions: the more porous substrates and higher moisture contents requires a low dilution rate. The coverage varies with the dilution rate.

Substrate Preparation
Check the condition of the substrate prior to primer application. Existing holes must be repaired. Clean the substrate by removing dirt, dust, grease, and laitance. For damp mortar, concrete, or ceramic substrates, ensure that there is no standing water on the surface.
Mixing
The mix ratio is 5:3 (Part A: Part B) by weight. Add Part B into Part A and mix with a low-speed mechanical mixer at low speed for at least 2 minutes with electric mixer fitted with a mixing attachment at low-speed to avoid entraining air into the product until they are completely blended. It is not recommended to break down the kits into smaller quantities. After proper mixing of the two components, 1-3 times of clean water may be added to the mixture to adjust consistency. The pot life may extend after diluting with water, the pot life refer to the below table after dilution.

Application
Apply the primer by brush or roller at the recommended rate. The appropriate amount of primer should saturate the substrate and leave a thin, continuous film on the top surface of the substrate. Be aware of the out-gassing effect on porous substrates when the temperature rises. The primer should be applied as single or double coat on the entire substrate using roller or brush.
Wait until completely dry before applying the next coating product; temperatures and environmental conditions affect drying times. It normally takes about 6 hours for the primer to become tack-free at 25°C (when diluted 3 times with water). Lower temperatures will extend the waiting time. It is highly recommended to apply the next coating product within 24 hours after the primer becomes tack-free. A longer gap between the primer and the next coating product may result in deteriorated interface adhesion and failure.
TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE
During transportation and storage, please protect the product from sunlight and rain, keep it away from fire sources, and avoid collisions. Store it in a well-ventilated place. The recommended storage temperature range is 5°C to 35°C. Do not store the product above 40°C. The shelf life is 12 months under the recommended storage conditions.
YHPrimer-1000 is suitable for concrete surfaces, compatible with moisture-cured and chemically-cured polyurethane waterproof membranes, and water-based coatings, except for two-component hot spray polyurea.
Self-leveling and easy to apply.
Low VOC
Excellent penetration and adhesion.
Two-component, designed to enhance the adhesion of polyurethane waterproofing systems on mortar, concrete, or ceramic substrates.
Resistant to moisture vapor transmission.
